International Car Reports and Norms
Data on the costs associated with purchasing or leasing a car in more than 60 international locations
Car Reports
How your company deals with the provision of private automobiles to employees on assignment can have a significant effect on overall program costs. ORC provides data to support important decisions on transportation policies. International Car Reports are available for approximately 60 locations and offer price information on typical car makes and models at three cost levels. The data include:
- Make, model, and year of the car
- Purchase price and tax, if applicable
- Dealership from which the information was gathered
- Leasing information, including monthly cost, length of lease, and any required down payment
- Description of basic specifications, such as engine size and type of transmission, plus a list of typical options (e.g., antilock brakes, air-conditioning, airbags, automatic windows, and door locks)
International Car Norms
Car Norms, developed for certain home-country locations, represent the average expenditure in the home country of capital car purchases, leasing costs, and finance charges. They do not include upkeep expenses such as gas, insurance, and maintenance, since these operating costs are typically included in the goods and services market basket.
