European Expatriate Policy Forum
A network for expatriate human resource managers at major companies with operations in two or more European countries
Major European companies with international workforces have unique needs, and this network, of senior human resources executives from such companies, meets those needs. Together, these executives compare and contrast worldwide policies, practices, and trends in the field of expatriate management.
The group meets twice a year in major European cities to share best practices, group analysis of new ideas, discussion on common current issues, and open and confidential exchange of information. Members explore company expatriate policies and practices on remuneration and benefits, general terms and conditions, and contractual issues. They discuss handling international assignments, global workforce development, dual-career challenges, and other critical issues, including how to develop a global mind-set among employees.
Members represent a range of industries across Europe. Occasional, member-driven surveys on various topics provide practical benchmarks for each practitioner's own work, as do exchanges of information during informal roundtable discussions and informal exchanges of member companies' literature and written plans and policies. A Web site exclusively for members helps keep the group in touch and informed between meetings.
