SIRS® Quality and Reliability
Rigorous quality assurance and data validation processes ensure that each SIRS® survey provides reliable, meaningful data year after year. Data is reviewed from each participant, each industry, and across all SIRS® participants to ensure:
Relevant Benchmarks
SIRS® benchmarks are kept relevant and up to date through a combination of participant site visits, advisory committee meetings, and SIRS® Industry Meetings.
Valid Job Matches and Leveling
Job matches and levels are validated by ORC consultants and at industry-specific job matching meetings. These steps help participants find the right matches for more of their jobs and assure that all matches are made accurately and consistently.
High-Quality Survey Data
Survey data is validated before and after processing, using methodologies that examine internal equity—the relationships among a participant’s benchmarks, levels, pay grades (if applicable), and actual pay—and the relationship between the participant’s data and the external market.
