SIRS® Basic Training Workshops
The SIRS® Basic Training Workshop is designed to provide basic information about the SIRS® system. Attendance is suggested for SIRS® Benchmark Survey participants who are new to a company’s compensation staff, who are newly responsible for submitting data to SIRS® or using SIRS® report products, and for those participants who would like more familiarity with the fundamentals of the SIRS® system. Participation in this workshop is reserved exclusively for SIRS® Benchmark Survey participants. During the first year of participation in the survey, new participating companies may send one attendee to a SIRS® Basic Training Workshop at no cost.
During this workshop, attendees will learn to:
- Match and level jobs
- Submit data to the survey
- Use the SIRS® system
SIRS® Market Data Analysis Workshops
The SIRS® Market Data Analysis Workshop is designed to provide basic tools for analyzing compensation data for the purpose of evaluating position to market. The course reviews typical compensation report content and report uses. Attendance is suggested for SIRS® Benchmark Survey participants who are responsible for conducting the data analysis that will form the foundation for meaningful recommendations to management with regard maintaining a positive position relative to market data.
During this workshop, attendees will learn to:
- Project market position by job, category, level, and grade
- Interpret compensation report data
- Determine how to best customize access to compensation information to meet company needs
- Link an organization’s compensation philosophy with its compensation analysis and planning
- Assess internal equity
- Rationalize a target competitive market position
SIRS® Total Cash Analysis for Incentive Compensation Design
The SIRS® Total Cash Analysis for Incentive Compensation Design course builds upon the basic tools provided in the SIRS® Market Data Analysis Workshop, broadening the participant’s scope of market data interpretation. Attendance is suggested for SIRS® Benchmark Survey participants who are responsible for developing recommendations that will be used as the basis for establishing target total cash, as well as the mix of fixed and variable incentive pay.
During this course, attendees will learn to:
- Interpret total cash data that will enable their companies’ to maintain a unique compensation philosophy and deliver competitive total cash
