Vanguard Diversity Network

A network for equality and diversity managers at major UK corporations with well established programs in the field

This London-based group comprises representatives of more than 30 private-sector companies with well-developed policies and initiatives across the diversity spectrum. Their companies publicly champion diversity, exemplifying best practices, and, through ORC, provide input to various proposals from U.K. government departments.

The Vanguard Network meets three times a year and hears of the latest developments from top-level government and industry officials. The meetings provide a forum in which new regulatory, legislative, economic, and corporate developments can be considered and appraised.

Roundtable discussions and networking enable members to share experience and concerns across the whole equality and diversity agenda, including gender and ethnicity, disability, age, and so on, in an atmosphere of complete confidentiality.

Throughout the year, ORC facilitates communication and interaction among members of the group and keeps them abreast of the latest developments in the field. ORC enters into direct dialog with members about particular concerns and surveys the membership at large on issues raised by members, while members themselves continue to share best practices.
