Canadian Labour/Industrial Relations Advisory Group

A network for industrial relations and union relations decision makers at major Canadian organizations

If your company employs a large number of unionized workers, both skilled and unskilled, you know the unique challenges of dealing fairly but effectively with them and their representatives in today’s competitive global economy, in any industry.

ORC’s Canadian Labour/Industrial Relations Advisory Group, a network of your peers in the field, meets twice a year to exchange information regarding labour relations. It brings together labour relations executives from major Canadian industries to discuss recent negotiations and settlements, organizing and representation matters, and various labour strategies and developments.

Network group meeting agendas are tailored to member-identified current interests and needs. Discussions are practical, results-oriented, and always completely confidential.

Informal networking opportunities are built into all sessions, and the professional relationships forged at these meetings are maintained and strengthened between meetings by both casual and structured contacts, including peer-to-peer guidance and research and surveys coordinated by ORC.

Who Should Join?

If you have decision-making authority for a Canadian organization’s industrial relations, union relations, or labour relations, consider the benefits of membership in Canadian LIRAG. For more information, contact Thomas Connors at 212-719-3400.
