International Social and Labour Affairs Forum
A network for human resource executives at major corporations in the European Union or who have special interest in international employee relations
Based in London, this confidential network addresses international employment and industrial relations issues. Participation in the forum increases members’ understanding of international and European developments, helping them assess the likely impact of European Union (EU) and international initiatives on their companies’ strategies and to adapt appropriately.
At meetings, noted commentators and practitioners in the field of international employment lead discussions ranging from initiatives and legislation of the EU and other international organisations, to confidential exchanges of experience between companies regarding European Works Councils, to developments in international trade unions and the rapidly evolving field of corporate social responsibility. Between meetings, ORC provides detailed information updates and analysis to network members via a dedicated Web site, and also runs surveys on industrial relations’ issues of interest to participating companies.
Membership entitles company representatives to attend forum meetings, access ORC analysis on the forum Web site, receive ad hoc ORC advice and support, and pay discounted ORC consulting rates for forum issues.
